Eileen Collins want Girl Scouts to command a space shuttle if they like

A woman who has gone places very few people will ever go told Omaha Girl Scouts that she wants them to pursue the same opportunities.Eileen Collins was the first woman to pilot and command a space shuttle. She was the keynote speaker at the annual Girl Scouts Luncheon on Thursday in Omaha.Collins told the girls that if they like math, science and engineering, the doors will open for them.

"When I was a Girl Scout, I never ever thought I'd be an astronaut someday. It was beyond anything I could dream of. In this country, the opportunities are here if you take advantage of the opportunities," Collins said.Collins told the girls to go for it, even if society says a certain job is for men only.
