Jessica Sierra, Former “American Idol” Finalist, Jailed

Former “American Idol” finalist Jessica Sierra is back in trouble, just two weeks after pleading no contest to charges of battery and possession of cocaine.



The 22-year-old was arrested early Saturday following an incident in Ybor City, Florida in which she tried to flee an arresting officer. Sierra was being held on charges related to disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest and violating conditions of her parole.



Sierra had been ordered to attend a drug rehabilitation program following her last incident in which she smashed a glass on a man’s head. During that incident the arresting officers found Sierra to be in possession of cocaine.



Jessica Sierra was a top-10 finalist on American Idol in 2005 but has since run in to numerous legal issues involving assaults and alcohol and drug related incidents. She is currently being held without bond.
